Dr. Boukerrou has a wide-ranging experience in the private sector, he served at the President of the Center for Agricultural Research and Training in Agriculture (CIRTA) a company he founded to serve the research needs of Fortune 500 companies and the training needs of international organizations, federal government agencies, and foreign governments. As a scientist, he implemented over 300 agricultural and environmental research projects both in the US and overseas with private, academic and public institutions. He used his extensive experience in training to develop numerous training programs funded by organizations such as UNEP, IFAD, USAID, and USDA for participants from Asia, Central and South America, Africa, and Eastern Europe representing some 30 countries.
